See below for the solution I came up with. Use a small screw driver and pop the plastic cover off where the bolt go. The threads are M6. I found the following lifting bolts work well from Amazon.

I purchased the Chevy Cargo Net, https://accessories.chevrolet.com/p...QPNBtfq/MVhqUp0gMPUURbIaGHbth65bM=&bac=114654, as I had enough GM Rewards points to pay for it. It comes with the appropriate mounting hardware. As others have mentioned, just take a screwdriver to pop off the covers in the upper "nook" above the built-in rings. You will then see a threaded hole where you screw in the hooks that came in the package. I had mine delivered to the parts department at our dealer (No shipping costs that way). I removed the covers and installed the net in less than 5 minutes in the parking lot before heading off to buy groceries. Works like a charm and I like the built-in storage bag for times when I remove it.

The Chevy cargo net is far more expensive than the one I found on Amazon. The Amazon net is extremely high quality for only about $20 with clips included. https://a.co/d/6Eo7Zig

Just and FYI - I ordered the GM hook pieces that screw into the sides from Chevy dealer, to make sure I have the exact screw in pieces, Cost $20. Then I ordered $10 cargo net off Ebay. Everything worked out perfect.
Chevy dealer wanted $100 dollars for it.
