Equinox 2025 air/cabin filter replacements

Hey everyone, I didn't have a previous gen equinox before my 2025, but I wanted to ask if changing the engine air filter would be just as simple as a 2024 equinox...thanks!

I found these instructions online. hope they help.

(Start these directions after removing glovebox). Compress top and bottom of the whole latch that's on right side door edge, and then swing door open sideways like you're opening a cupboard. The left side of the door has a stationary prong that protrudes through a ring on the filter case. Once the right side of door is unlatched and swung, the door's left side prong can be slid out from the case ring that retains the door face's prong. It is not intuitive when looking at the door for the first time. Owners manual doesn't help.

Yep, both are basically the same as 2018+ Nice and easy. I don't care for the "Phillips" head wood screws for the engine air filter box that GM chooses to use. I'd rather have clips. No such luck. I have one that I found stripped out on both my 2021 Equinox and 2021 Traverse when I bought them used. The other 3 screws on each hold the cover down strong enough.
