I've hear some pros and cons abouth this. I usually run a K&N (or other high volume) air filter. They seem to give the car just a little more juice and are reusable with maintenance. I have a 2025 Nox and am tempted to put one in. Has anyone seen or heard anything about this being a bad idea. I know modern motors have all their fandangled sensors and I don't was to screw this one up.

Ay imput would be welcomed and appreciated... Thanks...

Most independent tests say that for the very little, if any HP gain, it is not worth it. Especially with the filters that need to be oiled. But it is your decision.

The air induction and air metering system is so sensitive on our 1.5T's, I would stick with OEM or similar. A K&N isn't going to do anything more for you on these little forced induction 1.5s.

In some cases the oil from the filter can get onto the mass air flow sensors and cause problems. If you live in a dusty area, no matter how much you clean and oil the filter, dust will get past it. They’re fine for performance engines that get rebuilt often but not for the street. I have one on my motorcycle, and you can hold it up to the light and see air gaps in the gauze. That’s with proper maintenance.

13 nox 2.4 put a k&n at 10k didn't change a thing for mileage straight highway 28 mpg. Never had a problem . Never had a problem with oil and mass flow. Wash it , let it dry, oil it and let it set for couple of hours on a rag. 135k on it now.

Every test ever done independently shows the K&N allowing more dirt into the engine. Even K&N's website says 95-98% efficiency at stopping dirt. I'd rather have an OEM filter stopping 99+% dirt than a bit more power at high RPMs.

I am no longer using K&N air filters after reading the results of comparison tests. K&N did poorley in filtering fine dust compared to stock paper filters,. I use only Wix or ACDDelco now. K&N do flow slighly more air, but at a sacrifice in filtering ability.

I have a 2024 Nox. My manual does not give a milage or time interval for replacing the air filter. The display says Air Filter Life is 70%. Do I trust the display?
Does anyone know the efficiency of the OEM air filter? The local dealer wants $60 for the air filter. I guess GM is real proud of them. I want to try and find an equvalent after market filter.

The OEM ACDelco air filter for your vehicle is $38.98 via Amazon.com and includes free delivery. Don’t buy the filter at your dealer. I have NO affiliation with Amazon.

Amazon is where I get my OEM stuff like engine and cabin air filters. Hell, you can find just about anything on Amazon except booze and hookers.
