Chevy Equinox EV Infotainment touchscreen temperature

I bought a new 2026 Equinox EV a few days ago. I noticed the large infotainment touchscreen gets very warm, >100 deg F. It's uncomfortable to touch for more than a couple seconds. Is this a common or normal condition?

The dealer will tell you it's normal. Android Automotive OS replaced the older infotainment systems, and it seems to run a little warm. We picked up a 2027 Bolt RS not long ago, and depending on what the system is doing, it can get warm to the touch. Our Bolt just received its second update, and the warmth seems to be a little less noticeable. It could just be me, though.

120 degrees? That does seem a bit warmer than it should be, to be honest. The Bolt EV infotainment gets a little warm, but not like that.
