Chevy equinox disco headlights

Hello there everyone I have a 2018 Chevy equinox I've been trying to chase a problem with the headlights and with the parts being very expensive I don't want to be using the parts cannon to fix the problem the headlights for the most part work fine but once the temperature drops below 20 F the right front headlight would flicker like a strobe light then both headlights and then both headlights will go out completely and I would have to pull over shut everything down then restart and drive for another mile or two and have the same issue I have the following codes in the body control module b2699-04 right h/l control circuit open, b2699-01 h/l control circuit short to battery b2699 h/l control circuit short to ground, b2575-04 h/l control circuit open when the temperature is warmer then 20 F everything works normal how do you fix something that works until gets cold i.dont have anywhere to work on it except the driveway and when it's cold it's kinda hard to work outside I forgot to add that there is hid headlights I'm.thinking it's the control.module on the right headlight but maybe the bulb or even both I'm favoring the module so before I go ordering parts and spending money I really can't afford any input is more then welcome I was also thinking the body module but I believe there would be other issues besides the headlights another issue I can't seem to figure out is if the problem is definitely in the right headlight why would it effect both ?

I think my first test would be load testing the battery. With all random electrical issues that is where I start. visual inspection of the wires would be my second.

First thing I would do is test the battery. I'd be sure to run a load, crank and charge system test on it. I'd then do a visual on the harnesses running to each headlamp. What's the history on the vehicle? Has there been any front end collision work? I'm not sure on the ballasts, but aftermarket replacement Bi-Xenon lamps can be had inexpensively.

Thinking" and "I'm favoring" are no substitutes for testing and if you lack the ability to run down the circuit codes a guaranteed, paid for diagnostic will prevent spending money on unnecessary parts. It's all too common that more money is spent on a guess than a diagnostic would cost. Once isolated you can then decide if making the repair is something you want to DIY.

New battery new alternator as for the history I don't have one it was bought used from a dealership with no warranty from observation there was something done on the front end the plastic guards underneath is missing and the tabs that hold the bottom of the grill are not lined up properly so there is the potential of some damage done previously I'm in Pennsylvania so working on it outside is limited especially being in the single digits I am working on using a garage to take things apart to inspect the wiring and connectors not sure where I could get an accident report for my equinox any ideas ? What really gets me is that when it's warmer outside there don't seem to be any issues a little bit of flickering but everything works normally so my thoughts on it is the possibility of the bulbs wearing out or the control module on the right headlight I can't see both modules going bad at the same time then there is the possibility of the wiring being bad somewhere what everything comes down to is the money situation I really can't afford to be making the wrong decision I was really hoping that someone was also experiencing the same issue for some guidance as to where to go bulbs ? Module ? Wiring ?

I have a decent scan tool paid about 500 for it so it definitely has its limitations all the codes I'm getting is from the right headlight circuit short to power short to ground and open circuit i could go to a local garage and pay them for a diagnosis and eliminate the guess work and replace the defective part
