The wife and I saw it tonight and it was AWESOME! We both loved it. Alot like the original. Great acting! John Wayne still did the best job, though. Go check it out!

Yes, there is a book both movies were based on. The new one is said to follow the book more closely. The first movie had John Wayne as the starring role. It was done in the early 70s and is also a great movie!

Heck yeah. I used to watch all his gun slinging fist punching Westerns with my grandpa... the wife and I just watched one of his movies the other days.

Rio Bravo is one of my favorites.
Me too.
When I was a kid I watched the Searchers and did not like it but now I do like it.
Still hate to watch any of his movies that he dies in.

Is it on Blue Ray yet?
No not yet, Disney is the only ones that bring out movies on DVD - Blu-ray a week after they are shown on the big screen.
