Not running right.

We have a 2010 Equinox 2.4 L
It is making a loud clicking noise when accelerating. Now it's now idling righ and dies when coming to a stop. Check engine light is on but haven't had it read yet. We have to go the next town to get it read. There isn't anyone her in town that does that.

Cam position sensor recall

There's a cam position sensor recall that causes those problems. I don't have a direct link, but put your car's VIN into https://www.safercar.gov/Vehicle-Owners/Check-For-Recalls/CheckForRecalls?cmpid=TSGSOR0416 and check it out.

Entered the VIN and it said no active recalls.

got the codes. P0324 - Knock Control System Error I figured it's because of the clicking. P0014 Exhaust Camshaft Position System Performance this was replaced at the begin of summer.
