Recent purchase, used 2015 Equinox. First cold weather today, wanted to do remote start with the RKE Fob. Hit "Lock" button, got horn/lights feedback from vehicle. Held down "Start," no response, no engine start. Neither of my two RKE fobs would start the car. I then tried the Key Fob Remote Commands with the "myChevrolet" iPhone App, and the Equinox fired right up.
The Lock/Unlock and Sound Horn all work OK from both fobs. Just no remote start.
Is there a pairing command I need to reset for the RKE and vehicle? Or will I have to make a dealer service trip?
