New Member/Owner from Texas

I purchased a new 2012 Chevy Equinox 2LT in mid July (2012) and just getting around to joining the group. After my 2005 Ford Freestyle was caught in a severe hail storm in April 2012, I decided it was time to get a new ride. I test drove both four and six cylinder versions of the "Nox" and decided that I would give up the gas mileage for better "get up and go". So far, I am really liking the extra horses under the hood. Finding a 2LT with the desired options proved to be a bigger challenge (especially since I was looking for cloth interior rather than the leather) than I expected, but was finally able to find a vehicle with plenty of "bells and whistles" (well, really more than I had asked for, but more toys is always better, right?). Actually, I was a little disappointed when I discovered my "Nox" did not have the "Mylink" option. It was kind of funny when I was trying to tell the car to play the radio and it kept trying to dial my phone. Anyway, my journey begins and I am looking forward to many years of a smooth ride.
