Are your fans running? You may want to have it pressure tested to see if it is leaking at the head gasket.

The fan would definitely be the next thing to check. Mine just went out a couple of months ago, and had to be replaced.

Watch the bottom Rad. hose when you rev the engine. If it collapses, there’s your problem.

On an older car if the radiator has not been well maintained you could have lost a lot of cooling power. Flushing them will not clean the really bad muck that can clog them. I believe Cocoa is correct. Start looking at the fan.

Running ac will basically make fans run. If both upper/lower hoses are hot then rad is ok.
My 08 had only 1 fan running on hi. I reseated both fan plugs and then both fans started running at normal speed.

So unplug them to reset the fans they both run when the car is off no hot wire or anything to have them come on when you turn the key on

Are you using the correct coolant and oil?
