have you had a pressure test or does it use coolant? How did the coolant look when you changed the water pump. Maybe the radiator isn't flowing very well.

What is your coolant level in surge tank with cold motor?
How much does it rise when motor is hot?
I add coolant so it’s level with seam on tank.
I’ve done 10+ headgasket jobs

So, upper and lower rad hoses are hot? Points to ok radiator. New thermostat. New rad cap? Driving at 30mph usually eliminates fan issues and lets motor stay at 1500-2000 rpm and if motor overheats in these conditions it usually points to headgaskets. Running ac basically makes fans run and might even “help” hot issue. But it’s also a bit of heat load too.

Car has 195f thermo. Van I got has 203f thermo. Or is it 205f? . And likes to stay around 210f even on hwy. which is annoying. But, it’s not gm.
