The 2026 Equinox driver assistance features are the worst I've ever seen. The collision avoidance goes off for no reason and applies braking power. My seat randomly vibrates with no visual indication what it's trying to tell me either on the instrument panel, no blind spot detection, or red collision warning lights. Blind spot from every manufacturer sometimes goes off for no reason, but this vehicle does it every time I drive it. Every. Time. It will also sit there and blink constantly when I am stopped at a light, in a double turn lane, with my blinker on and a car in the lane next to me. The "object approaching from the left/right" warning goes off almost every time I'm sitting at a light and a vehicle is coming in the lane next to me.
I haven't found a way to tune any of these features and how sensitive they are. I've already turned off all the mechanical actions associated with these warnings, but I'd really like to tune the sensitivity. I do find value in these, in other vehicles. Is there truly no option other than disabling all of these features? I understand in prior generations you could tune some of this, but they took it out in this generation?
