Will the 2016 Equinox navigational system work without Onstar?

In previous GM vehicles I've owned, the nav system continues to operate when I have lapsed the OnStar subscription. Not saying it will on the Equinox, but I'll find out in about a month.

The Nav works on my 2018 Equinox without OnStar.
