Well i read and google and found some old stuff. Has anyone been able to nail it down to what causes rough idle. Mine is like a diesel motor. Once in a blue moon it studders at idle like its about to stall. I can feel the vibrations diesel like going through the seats and the steering while really sounds terrible. I checked my vin and i see no open recalls at all. Not sure whats going on i drive i ECO mode and oil was changed 2 months ago. I use synthetic mobile one if anyone of that helps.

actually i was able to figure out most of the rough idle. About a couple of seconds turning OFF ECO MODE the car smoothed out. It still does the occasional come to a stop sign rpm drop, meaning as im about to stop. Otherwise its alot smoother turning eco mode off.

I experience this on my 2013 LT as well, but generally only when I first start the engine and shift into gear. Once the engine warms up a little, it smooths out.

My experience is that the Nox 4 cyl is pretty intolerant of some gas. When my 2010 started to run rough, I'd throw in a bottle of Techron and change gas stations. I finally settled on using only Shell and Costco gas, both very high in detergents. Haven't had an issue in over two years.

Car problems

I have a 2013 Chevy equinox and when I first start it up it idles very rough at low rpms and it will eventually die even if I hit the gas. It takes several times to get it to smooth out. And also when I’m in park trying to smooth it out by hitting the gas the rpms go to rev limiter and then while holding the pedal to the floor drops back to idle. And after car gets warmed up it runs like brand new until it sits for a few hours. Any solutions????
