Wipers

Have a 2018 Equinox and the wipers do not turn automatically on when it starts raining.
Book says auto sensing. Do not see any thing in all the setting. Is the something I am missing or are the just not working as they should?

I do not see a Auto position on the wiper stalk and when I do a search in the manual there is no results for Auto Sensing.

In Settings there is a setting for Auto Wipe in Reverse.

Auto Wipe in Reverse Gear
When on and the front wiper is on,
the rear wiper will automatically
activate when the vehicle is shifted
to R (Reverse).
