Wiper blades

My coworker has a 2014 Equinox. She needs to replace the front wiper blades. She has the push button blades. Does she have to buy OEM or can she use any wiper blades and take off the plastic piece and put it on the new blades? Thanks, Ed.

tell her to go to autozone they will install them for free.

As talented as I think I am, I struggle with my wifes Ford every time. The first time I broke the new blade $$$ screw up. Second time lots of cussing.
Now I got the hang of it. I haven't done the Equinox yet.
