Very Loud Volume

Greetings,

We have a 2026 Equinox and paired the phone wirelessly. After pressing the phone button (on steering wheel) and asking to call "Mike", the tone and voice that says "calling Mike" is incredibly loud and distracting. I have looked through the settings and online manual but cannot seem to locate any directions. Any thoughts?

To reduce the volume, you must turn down the volume knob while the voice is being spoken.

The car has separate electronic volumes for the radio system, the phone system and the navigation system, using the radio volume knob to increase or decrease the volume WHILE it is being broadcast.

Yes and the same goes for the navigation volume. Once in a while my nav volume would unexpectedly come on incredibly loud and I couldn't find the control. You can easily control all volumes with the steering wheel controls but only while it's speaking.

The volume control system is not intuitive and directions are not contained in the folders provided at purchase.
