We really like our new Chevy, but did not come with an owner's manual nor was there an option to purchase one through GM. I mean with all the new technology on this vehicle a written manual for reference would of been great. Having to look at a small phone screen for info really sucks. Sometimes you don't even know what to call it when you are trying to find out what all these buttons and levers do.( Was able to purchase one online)

There is an option to purchase a printed manual through GM’s printed materials supplier at www.HelmInc.com

There are ways to acquire one completely FREE. You can access one via your myChevrolet app on your phone. You can download one using a computer from the Chevrolet website. Manuals and Guides | Vehicle Support | Chevy https://share.google/rSXcGtqhmoieaKwhT
Or you can call Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 and ask for one to be mailed to you. You may need to call more than once until you get someone who just takes your info and sends one out to you. It usually takes 10 days to two weeks to arrive by FedEx.

When my wife bought her 2025 Blazer the salesman was surprised it had a printed owners manual.
He said all the other GM products you had to use the online version.
If I look at the PDF version I use the desktop computer or tablet so I have a big screen.

When we bought our 2025 and I realized there was no manual I checked online and GM wanted 50 bucks for one. I know there is a digital one on the vehicle but being an old fart I spoke to our salesman about it and he said, "No problem" He got one for me in a week or so, no cost.

This is what the default screen looks like to me. I've never changed the setting since I joined. I guess I'd better search around to see if I can find a way to change my background. Thanks for the tip but guiding me to the fix would be nice. I'm probably not the only suffering from this horrible default.

I searched and found this reply to others complaining of the same issue:

Dark Forum Background

The default background for this forum is Dark. Is it possible for me to change it to Light? For me, it's very difficult to see things like links with the Dark background. When I go to Account Details, Settings is greyed out.

At the very bottom of any page on the forum you will see a link to a "Style Chooser" just above the words "Community platform by Xenforo 2010 - 2024 Xenforo Ltd."

Click on that link and you will have the option to pick one of four styles including "Default Style" which is light, "Chevy Equinox Forum O" which is dark, "FullyDriven Framework" which is dark and "Chevy Equinox Forum" which is also dark.

If you want a light colored display, choose the "Default Style" option.

I tried changing the colors of the text with the text tools you mention and that doesn't change the background and overall look of the messages for me. Now that I've changed to the white "Default" background (see the instructions in my previous post), I'll enjoy this forum a lot more.

Yes, I use the Default Style and have a white background.
