Last night, someone removed the mirror from the passenger side of my 2011 Equinox. they did not damage the housing, they just took the glass and disconnected the heater wiring. It must be easy to remove, is it that easy to reinstall a replacement? I found a complete assembly on Ebay but the color is wrong so I would like to take the glass out of that unit and reinstall it in mine. Any sugestions?

That is really weird that this happened to you..

Let's see if this illustration helps you out at all.

Missing mirror

Thanks for the pic. Part "4" is the only thing missing and I dont see any damage to part "5", the hub. I think it is just pressed on. They got mine off without breaking it, I hope I have the same luck when I try to take the one off the one that came out of a wreck.

Sorry, no pics but it does go on as easy as it comes off. Just a firm tug will remove it from the housing.
