Protection Plan or not?

Hi. I just bought a 2013 Equinox LT and the dealer is pressing me to add the vehicle protection plan at $1600.00. I've still got two years on the original warranty. Would that plan be a smart investment?

Is it a GM warranty, or a dealer specific warranty???

It's an AutoNation plan.

I wouldn't do it. They probably won't approve GM parts. We had that same issue a while back. I thought I had a GM warranty but it was a dealership aftermarket warranty. And just my luck, the selling dealership closed.

Yeah, I wouldnt! Even if it was a GM extended warranty, I would pass!
