Navigation System Error Message

I have a 2012 LTZ with navigation system. On occasion, when starting the vehicle I get an error message that the SD card is not inserted. I cannot clear this message by reinserting the SD card and the navigation system is not available. I can only get the navigation system to come on if I park the vehicle, turn it off, and wait about 15 minutes. Upon reentering the vehicle it starts the nav system as if there is no problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

TO THE TOP FOR YOU.

I to have a similar issue but it is a 08 with cd error issue. Not sure what the issue is will remove and reinstall the cd and it usually comes back. Only to work for a while and then comes back with the error msg.

Any one have and insight............thx
