Hello all, new & first time user here...

I have a 2022 Equinox LS 1.4l that recently threw the service ESC light code along with the no traction control check engine light started blinking and a misfire as well..

Brought it to an auto zone to check the code checked, was told it was the fuel injector in cylinder one. I replaced that myself.

PROBLEM CONTINUED.

Brought it into a shop, they then replaced the plugs, cables, other 3 injectors, HEFP, tune up , and NOW the 3 lights and service code are gone, BUT after time the misfire comes back and the shop mechanic took everything apart to notice oil getting into cylinder one somehow. without them further diving into the engine and my wallet, I'm looking for HELP.

PLEASE, they quoted me 4K+ go do a deep dive into the block to maybe find the problem. I was wondering if anyone has ideas or has had something like this happen to them before.... to me it seems like maybe the intake gasket, but I'm no mechanic... hence me coming here...

much appreciated. thank you for looking/helping

Welcome to the site. Sorry to hear about your issues. 2022 is quite new to have problems. The ESC and trac control are symptoms/results of the MIL being lit, not the cause.

Your 2022 has the LYX 1.5L How many miles on it? Maintenance history? I've never heard of an injector itself needing to be replaced on on LYX. Having an auto parts store read codes and then sell you parts based on that code is about the worst form of troubleshooting there is.

You need a full code scan and some basics looked at like fuel trims, MAP, MAF and boost data collected.

Had this problem with a 2013 n replaced all that stuff mostly but ended up being a port in the intake manifold was plugged. If ur engine has pcv valve it might b that u just have to have that hole unplugged for it in the intake manifold.
