My left rear brake/turn light quit working, so I replaced the bulb. But the original bulb was actually fine. Then I noticed that after it sits a few minutes, it will work for 2 blinks, then stop. When I hit remote unlock button, it flashes twice like the right side, but if I re-lock it and try again, it will not light up. Give it a few minutes and it works again, for 2 blinks. Any ideas?

Such an odd behavior, It doesn't sound like relay or fuze issue since its only occuring on the left rear. Could be a grounding issue, you may want to check the wires at the lamp assembly as well.

Here are some questions that might lead you to an answer.

does you turn signal seem to be clicking on and off faster than normal?
Are any other bulbs burnt out on the exterior of the car?"

When your headlights are turned on does the bulb light up?
When you step on the brake does the bulb become brighter?
How does the bulb react when you use your hazards?
