Key Won't Come Out of Ignition

I have a 2013 Equinox with 52K miles. Just this week we started having a problem getting the key out of the ignition after turning off the car. Wiggled the key left and right, in and out and started the car a put it in gear then turned it off again. It finally releases but may take up to five minutes of fooling with it. Same problem with both keys. Initially thought I needed to reposition the steering wheel but it makes no difference.

Did an internet search and found others reporting this problem.

Chevy customer service authorized 1 hour to diagnose the problem.

Any ideas?

Ive had the same problem but then realized my gear shift wasnt all the way in park..... make sure its all the way in park and make sure you dont have anything AROUND the stick,. i had hair tires and it got stuck which caused me not to be able to get my key out!!!!
