Equinox 2011 stalls

We have this car that has been good for a while and for the past two or three months it has been stalling and the engine light comes on. We changed the oil, replaced the cam shaft sensor, and battery. It still stalls. Saw some people saying to change the fuel filter, might try that. Can anyone help?

When does it stall?
Is it misfiring or driving rough all the time?
Does it just misfire/drive rough right before it stalls?
What are you doing when it stalls?
Have you gotten the code read (many auto parts stores do it for free)?

Are you able to visit a ped boys or autozone to have them read ECU codes? That would help us help you.
