Car I got has July plates but are expired. From 2024. DMV says I have to buy plates for 2026 if I want to drive today. And then buy 2027 plates on aug 1. So 2 yrs of plates Or wait till aug 1 to do it and not have to buy 2026 plates.
I can’t get tabs unless I also transfer title. So that’s additional $$. But title transfer fee is too be expected.
Tabs are about $40. And wheelage tax is $20. So I have to pay $60 for 3 days left in July.
