Dexron VI

Any concerns from anyone that on back of bottle it says recommended for dex 2, dex3 and dex-cvt on the back . Front says dex vi but has an * any thoughts ? I’ve used the Delco vi in past but this max life is less expensive . I have no issues with using valvoline . But don’t know if this is correct for 20 and 19 equinox and kids 19 trax

I went to Valvoline's website and looked around finding these pages. Each of the GM Dexron products has an asterisk next to it. These paragraphs are the only other place on this page where an asterisk appears. I can't tell if they apply to the GM Dexron listing or not. The only products with an asterisk in the whole document are next to the GM Dexron list but I couldn't figure out why they are there or what it means.
(I'm still a little skittish and will continue to pay more for genuine GM Dexron VI.)

Just strange to me that in back of bottle it says replaces dex 2 and 3 and don’t mention the 6 . And for a little bit more I’ll continue using the Delco dex 6 it’s not so bad I buy in volume from Rock

I would use it without concern. I have Maxlife ATF in my 2021 Equinox in my 2021 Traverse and my 2016 Malibu. I started using it around 30K miles for the Equinox and Traverse and they both have ~72K miles on them today. The Malibu was purchased 3yrs ago w/ 80K miles on it. Over 100K on it today w/ Maxlife ATF.
