We're at 7684 miles, check engine code pointed to Crankcase Pressure Test failing. The 'PCV' pressure sensor is right next to the oil filler cap on my 1.5T, not sure what GM were thinking there but it's Bosch 25203772.

'Dealer Claims' shorted crank case pressure sensor.

Dealer replaced under warranty, all good so far.

Sorry this happened on a basically a brand new vehicle, but it's good info regardless. I'm thinking this sensor is new for the 2023+ LSD 1.5T. I don't believe the 2018-2022 LYX 1.5T has one.

I did a quick google and the looks like the LSY 2.0T has been using this sensor since this engine came out in ~2020. Apparently, lots of short trips can cause this pressure sensor to foul with moisture, etc. They can be removed, cleaned and re-installed.

I just had mine in this morning, it's a 2025 AWD with 11,500 miles. Check engine light was on for five days then was off on the day of the appt. They diagnosed (I assume stored code) it as the crank case pressure sensor. The service advisor mentioned they have had issues with these and GM redesigned then. Mine is on order.

I have the same P04FB code with our 2025 Equinox with 18,500 miles on it. The check engine light was on a couple of days, then went off, and then came back on. They diagnosed it as the crank case pressure sensor and ordered the part. The service advisor said the part was backordered from GM with zero availability. The car has been at the dealership for a week now. They couldn't give me an estimated date for when they would get the part in.

Best wishes.

I’m amazed at how many repair parts are on national backorder with GM for the new 2025 and 2026 Equinox models. Every warranty repair for our 2025 Equinox RS AWD (purchased new) required a part that was on backorder (except software defects which were repaired at the dealership).

They did say they have a date now of the first week of next month for the part to come in, but that could change. That will be about a month from when I took the car in to be looked at, if the date holds. It is very disappointing to have a car this new, still under warranty, that they can't get parts for sooner.

Same here. I took mine in March 24 and the part won’t be in until May 29th. Maybe. They are paying for a rental but my new car is setting outside in the back lot at the dealership.
