cant read milage

I have a 2012 equinox and recently i have lost the ability to see how many miles i have on the vehicle. everything else works but when i go to the mileage it only displays dashes.

I have the same problem on a 2014 Equinox after replacing the battery

I forget which car of mine had same problem. I know there is a bulb which needs replacing. I didn't fix mine because it was going to cost $110 (if memory serves me right).
