Can I remove the driveshaft and still use the car as fwd

Hello. I have a AWD 2005 equinox that the rear end is making noise when i turn sharp in parking lots and clunks when the AWD kicks in. I was thinking about just removing the rear drive shaft and keep driving it. It is only a work car.

i did with my 06. but the center bearing is the issue. not a rdm grind. though i heard a new clutch pack in the rdm will usually fix it. for a bit of money
