Afternoon everyone. Currently own a 2011 Chevy Equinox that was kind enough to have the wave plate in the transmission fail (while driving even). So the family is currently looking into a 2017 Equinox 1LT. Does anyone have any thoughts on the vehicle? Issues and or concerns? Lastly, would this qualify as the 2nd generation Equinox, or the 3rd?

Don't know whether the Equinox was affected but GM issued a (repair) letter for some GM vehicles related transmission wave plate failure.

Thank you all, we went with the 2017 Chevy Equinox. The cost to repair the transmission wasn't worth the hassle.:flipthebird: Love the vehicle, hate the situation requiring needing it.

2017 Equinox

We love our 2017. Inexplicably GM downsized the 2018 and in my opinion messed up the styling as well, I'm not a big fan of how the side of the vehicle looks dented and the squashed down rear roof area. There is now nothing in the Chevrolet line up that suits us for size only larger Traverse sized or smaller vehicles.
We are waiting for the 2021 Buick Envision but it may prove too expensive.
After 45 years a Chevy man this may be goodbye.
