I didn’t install 56247. I installed c44FR. I rearranged all the wires. I bought the 56247 as a backup in case the c44FR doesn’t work. GM wants the owner to pay for the trailer package to reprogram the correct feeds to the car harness. So even though I spent more than $100 on two harnesses, I still have only $300 invested including the hitch. I will marketplace the 56247 to recoup some of money. Check out etrailer and YouTube on installing both of these harnesses. I have yet to hook up my trailer which I plan on doing in the next couple days.

Let me g this straight- you installed the Curt 56247 from etrailer, had to rearrange some of the wires leading from the plug end that plugs into the trailer, and did not need the dealer to "reprogram" anything?
I installed the c44FR which plugs directly into the factory trailer pigtail as shown in IMG_8318. Hooked up my trailer yesterday and all lights work perfect.
