27,000 mile service

I have a 2024 LT that is approaching 30k miles and the service advisor says that in addition to the normal oil change and rotate tires, I need to have the services shown below done at the intervals listed. Are the "extra" services really necessary? What the hell is an "Engine Performance Restoration" and what "Motor Oil Additive" are they referring to?

I have no idea. It's not in the service schedule in your owners manual.
I follow the schedule in the manual but do some of the services early like oil changes.

I feel that the dealers tend to up sell to pad their bottom line. If it is not in the owners manual, I would avoid the extras.

Those services are dealer upsells and nothing to do with GM's recommendations per the owner's manual. At 27K miles, i'd do nothing more than an engine oil change and maybe a tire rotation.

Thanks Lee ... I managed to drive my '05 Corvette 148k miles without needing an "Engine Performance Restoration" but with today's engines, ya just don't know... LOL
