We started having problems with the A/C not blowing cold unless the car was moving. I originally thought that it was low on refrigerant and that it was cooling when the car was moving because the compressor was running faster due to the higher engine rpms when the vehicle is in motion. It turns out that the root of the problem is the cooling fan is not running when the A/C is on resulting in no air passing through the condenser unless the car is moving. We have not had any problem with the engine overheating, so I believe that the fan is functioning when the engine needs it to. So for some reason the cooling fan is not running when the A/C needs it to, which is whenever the A/C is on. Does anyone know if there is a separate fuse or relay circuit that the A/C uses to turn the fan on? What would be the quickest way to diagnose what is at fault considering the facts above? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.
