So we got 3 inches of snow here in West Texas today. We get snow in the winter out here usually 4 or 5 times a year, so it's not uncommon. But I HATE it. It makes all of the other drivers here turn into complete nut jobs and think they are invincible. Wrecks everywhere! But the best part is what it does to our vehicles. The snow here turns immediately into sludge on the roads. Let me describe what this snow/sludge looks like: if you took oil, poop, and hell and mixed the 3 together really good and then put this mixture into a power washer and sprayed it all up and down your vehicle......this is what the snow here does to our vehicles! Hopefully Wednesday it will get above freezing and I can go through the LaserWash and see what the original color my truck is.

How do you Northerners do it all winter long???

That's why I don't miss living in the North. Your vehicle looks like crap the day after it is washed, too cold to really hand wash it and ultimately people get screwed when their vehicle starts rusting out after a five years because of not washing every other day...

Here in Quebec, no snow for now. It's rainning ! According to the specialist, this winter we will have less than the half of what we usually get.

Last winter we had a storm and everything was closed. The cops were riding snowmobiles in the streets lol ... 48'' of snow in the night, that jammed the city lol

We used to life where the Lake Affect snow pounded North Eastern Ohio. We would get 36-54" snow falls at least one time a season.

When I lived there around 98 we got 60" in less than 12 hours...

Average snowfall was 12" that year with lake affect bringing 2-4" a hour.

I learned to drive in snow and ice on FWD vehicles. I wouldn't know the difference between the 2.

I think I would get into more trouble because I would drive more fearless.

I learned to drive with FWD too, but the AWD is a safer mode for me as I now live in moutains. Switch from a FWD standard sentra to a AWD automatic Nox... I love the switch. Now it's snowing here, stabilitrak OFF .. lets go !

I just put the Silverado in 4X4, drive on the access roads to avoid the crazies on the highway, and slide all the way to work!

Our FWD Nox does great on the ice every time as well. But it's all melted now, so no worries. Ice doesn't stick around out here for very long.

We got a little snow Monday night, not even enough to stick but it was coming down enough to see it.
The cold (upper 20's for lows) and the winds make it a pain outside.
It is warmer now.

All that we can is right, they moved it to Wednesday so I guess I could have washed the Terrain today. O well maybe next weekend.
