I have had a rubbing sound in the right rear rotor area when turning sharply. Thought maybe was a wheel bearing. Took wheel off & took caliper off & shook hub to check bearing , Felt good. I then pulled the rotor & found the one lining for the emergency brake shoes had delaminated & was just floating around in its place. I removed the lining & then chiseled off the other lining because in the 8 years that we have owned this equinox we never used the emergency brake , ever. Drove It, now no noise.
