Preferred GPS/Map App

I like Waze better than Google Maps or the built-in GPS software. Not too long ago Waze would automatically populate the Android Auto screen. Now it is always Google Maps. Is there a setting that will cause Android Auto to load Waze by default?

Not sure if you can set it default, but can you start Waze with the Hey Google all you 2025 owners talk about?
