My wife and I just picked up a 2026 Equinox LT a week ago after owning a couple Traverses. Finding our way through the features. Looking forward to posts and learning from the experts.
Also have 2026 Equinox LT. It is a new learning experience from my 2020LT. Also now the owners manual is on line, not the book I was used to getting.

Just picked up a 2026 Equinox RS with all the available packages. A slight hiccup on day 2 when we woke to a dead battery. Called GM Assistance who got it going - no obvious signs of why but it’s recharged and been fine ever since. I suspect I must have left the tailgate not fully closed and the interior lights drained it. All good now though and I love it! Something a bit different to the Cruze it replaced, and a lot more luxurious than our 2024 Trax.

I just saw this thread. I've owned my 2026 LT for a month or so and still confused about some of the controls.

The users manual should be helpful, providing you spend the time to read it. There are enough changes, that many seemingly easy procedure now counter-intuituve. A couple of things that come to mind are operating cruise control, operating the windshield wipers, to name a few.

Thanks but the manual plus Chev.com has no information on what I've been looking for. This is why I came to the forum.

okay so why does some motor somewhere make a noise like it's turning something on if the nox has been sitting in garage unlocked and I go and open the driver door? My driver seat doesn't move so figure that's not it. But if I don't open the driver door first and go to the hatchback and squeeze the button twice, I hear that same motor sound but hatchback still doesn't open. The sound is coming from the area behind the driver side passenger door.

And why can't the hatchback be opened unless I push the driver door button after the nox has been sitting unlocked and key isn't near? Could it be because I've got the driver door set to only unlock itself and no other doors so really the whole car is not unlocked (just the driver door)?

Nothing seems logical but not impossible to achieve what I need.

Also what is the button to the left of the Onstar button in this pic? (the one with a speaking, sitting human on it)

download the Mychevrolet app (also is included on my screen in the car). I like the manual in those 2 places because it has a search function.

I got my 2026 equinox lt and will be leaving for a few months. I'm trying to connect a low voltage charger to the battery and the manual is not clear where the negative connection is. The positive is clearly marked. This is the picture on the manual. Can anyone help.
