I am not new to the Equinox, I have purchased them since the introduction in 2005. This new 2026 is a learning experience. I am having trouble with the Home Link setup, it won't connect to my condo garage door opener. Also I just received the Mud Flaps from GM and it came without instructions. From what I see on the internet it may be better to have the dealer install them. Any Hints.
I got this from another member:

One tip.
If you install the GM Accessories splash guards, they come with new screws and one pop rivet for each guard. Two guards per kit - front and rear. They are vehicle specific and left / right / front / rear specific. The instructions with illustrations can be downloaded at the GM Accessories website, as the kits do not include instructions.
The pop rivet is designed to fasten the guard underneath to the black plastic rocker cladding, after drilling one pilot hole. Instead of using the pop rivet, I drilled a small pilot hole where indicated (in the black plastic rocker cladding), and fastened the guard underneath using one of the removed black screws (to be discarded according to the directions, because a longer provided screw is used).
That would enable me to easily remove one or more guards if needed, such as if it was damaged by road debris.
The front guards can easily be installed by turning the front wheels. There is not enough clearance room to install the back guards, so I had to raise the car and remove the rear wheel(s)."
Hope this helps.
