We have an RS. My wife has had her seat fail to move all the way to her set position several times. Is anyone else having that experience?

You need to hold the button until the process completes. You will receive a message on the DIC when it completes.

I found that they are unreliable if both a tall person and a short person get in the car at the same time. You would expect that it would sense only the drivers seat but that does not seem to be the way GM set it up

For sure. On our 2018 Premier, whichever remote it sensed first was the way the seats went once the start button was pushed. I tried to get the door open before my wife and start the car, otherwise I got crushed up to the wheel and had to wait till the action stopped before I could push the selector on the door to get things to my position.

With our new one I lament the fact that we have lost some physical controls and got more software options. Of those, we have turned a number off.

I certainly don't want the wipers coming on in a car wash, and have turned off most of the emergency braking as I know my Premier used to sometimes give me warnings at speed on two way highways when I met traffic coming the other way on a curve. I don't want a panic stop to have me skidding into their lane or being hit by following traffic.

I just completed a long survey sent by GM and expressed some of my frustrations. I'm waiting to see if they actually call me to discuss them but am not holding my breath.

My seats are very unpredictable for movement. Sometimes it will move as designed, and other times it will either not move at all or only move part way. Been that way from day one. I've reported this to GM and my dealer, but no fix is in sight (Cause Unknown).

I just disabled it after so many times it failed to move to the settings for each key fob. great idea that is intermittent in real world use.

In our 2018 Equinox the seats never failed to go to the position set by whichever key fob the system first locked onto if both were close. If only one person's fob was present, it was faultless during the seven years we had it.

When our 2018 was new I had trouble setting the memory seats and mirrors. I mentioned this to the dealership owner and he mentioned they were having the same problem with some of the 2018 trucks.
I ended up shutting that feature off because my wife is close to the same height as me.
I figured I would check on a software update later but forgot about it.

I always wanted memory seats in my Chevy and GMC trucks. Finally got them in my 2018 Equinox. Hate the damn things. When it gets confused it tries to crush me against the wheel! When my wife drives it puts her way to far back. Yes I know it is based on our key fobs and why it senses the one on the passenger side first makes No sense to me at all!

Our 2025 RS is in the shop again!! It's been 11 days this time and over 33 total. This is " lemon law" territory. The techs from the factory cannot find/fix the problem.
WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!!!!
