Lost Google Again

For the second time since 9/24/2024 I lost my Google assistant. No maps, phone calls or Hey Google lower temperature. First I unpaired and paired my phone which I will never do again but that was not the problem. Then I remembered that I lost Google a while back and went to Play Store and had to reinstall it. When I checked this time it was still there as it should be so I started to worry. Right as I was moving on to making an appointment at the dealership I saw a spot where I could update the App. BINGO! As soon as it finished installing I was back in business.
Not a big deal but impossible for anyone who is afraid to start pushing buttons ( not a great idea) and this is the second time it has happened.

Hey Chevy this is my 3rd Nox and I love this vehicle but that computer that also happens to play music needs some updates.

I have the same issue. Most of the time Google doesn’t work, but once in a while, I am surprised, and it does. I will have to look for the update.

The Google update was in the Google Assistant app. That may not be on you big screen of apps. I found it as I scrolled down the list of all the apps. Sorry but that's the best I can do. Other than the two times I was basically unconnected HEY GOOGLE WORKS GREAT. Maps, HVAC and Phone Calls work perfectly.

The other day I just randomly decided to try “hey, Google”, and now it is working again!

I have the same issue. Most of the time Google doesn’t work, but once in a while, I am surprised, and it does. I will have to look for the update.

Don't waste your time, it's probably the Communication Module. I've been waiting not for two weeks for a new one and according to OnStar the wait list is getting longer.
