Hey Google Not Working .. FIXED

I have a 2025 Equinox with just over 1000 KM ( 600 Miles ) on it. Hey Google suddenly stopped working..I would say Hey Google and the answer screen would Pop up and then disappear. No time to talk to it. I searched the Forum and the Internet for an answer.. I found one on Reddit that said " Holding the phone hangup button will reset the infotainment. "

I did this and held the button down for about 30 seconds. The system rebooted and " Hey Google " works again as it should.

Ya know I never do the hey Google, I just press the button on the left side of the steering wheel. I have tried the Google thing but I finally settled on the button. I assume it's the same as Google.

well over half the time I try google (either method), I get the "I'm not connected" or " I can't do that". This even when I have four bars on my Verizon link. Once, in a parking lot, Google did one thing, and then said it was disconnected for the next command. Flakey.

NICE tip about pressing the the phone button. I just lost my ability to give commands again and that pop-up didn't last long enough to even read. Eventually I got to my Google App and logged back in. I've had the vehicle for 6 months and so far it has been as trouble free as my 2014 Nox but if you have a problem most likely it will be with that computer they refer to as a radio.

I just posted this problem a couple of days. It will pop up and go away. You have to get to the Google Assistant app and hit UPDATE. That was my last idea before going to the dealership. It took a minute or two and Google was right back in action. You might have to spend some time finding it but it's there.
