If only Chevy would build an Equinox EV that I can tow 4 wheels down...

We travel 5-6 months a year towing our 14 Equinox and would love to buy an electric that I could do the same. First vendor that makes one will get my hard earned dollars. I am done with fueled vehicles. I have plenty of solar on the bus and at the house to keep it charged.

ROFL, No! No dollies or a trailer! Way too much work and then you need to deal with that for the other 6 months and keep it maintained too. 4 wheels down is the only sane way to pull a car that you want to use all the time. It takes less than 5 minutes to hook or unhook it. I watched a buddy hook and unhook his car from a dolly. What a nightmare that looked like, laying down in the mud to hook it up while traveling in the Yukon was enlightening. KISS is the best way for most things. -Bill

Gotcha. When I camped, we had a bumper pull camper and just used the tow vehicle.

I've done both, flat tow and dolly and flat tow is indeed the best from a convenience standpoint. From a braking standpoint however? It's been over twenty years since I last towed and the auxiliary braking systems available at the time were of the mickey mouse variety. The surge brake system on the dolly was simple and effective.

As a key feature of electric vehicles is being direct drive without a conventional transmission, making an electric vehicle flat towable will be a significant engineering challenge.
