Hybrid Equinox

Well my question is has there been any news of General Motors thinking about making a hybrid Equinox within the next two years?

I'd be very interested in an Equinox (or other GM compact SUV) hybrid if it could, at minimum, meet the current 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid's fuel economy. Anything less isn't competitive and would not even draw us to a GM showroom, regardless of how nice it looked or what other techno doo-dads it might have, as our next vehicles are certain to be hybrids.
