About to get one, have a few questions...

Hi everyone

I might be getting a new - for me- 2018 Equinox LS. The car is very very clean - it still has some of the new car smell.

I have just a few questions,

1. The front seat. If it feels that it has too much side bolster, it feels somewhat uncomfortable to me but I don't know if it is one of those things that you grow into it.
2. During the road test, the car fooled me into thinking it had fog lamps, and is just a chrome cover. Any DIY on how to get real foglamps retrofitted?
3. The equinox I am considering has halogen headlamps, Is replacing them with LED a straightforward affair?
4. Can you shift from "D" to "L" while driving? I am used in my other cars to shift from auto to manual mode on the fly while driving around mountain highways.
