2022 RS With Bose

So I have a 22 rs with the Bose premium audio package and the other day I lost all bass. Went to the dealership trying to see about replacement sub and the guy couldn’t find a sub. So we went back and forth and he dug a lil deeper and he found out that there is in fact no sub and it’s the 2 front door speakers that provide all the bass. I was shocked. All of that sound from speakers those sizes is nothing short of an engineering marvel…kudos to Bose.

Anyway they go in and out intermittently so idk if there a short or if a connection is lose or what. Anytime I’ve ever had a speaker go out it was out so that’s what leads me to believe it’s something else. Has anyone else gone through this and what was the remedy because they’re not cheap and of course this happened 1 month out of warranty Can I replace them with some other speaker or will that strain the system? I know it’s tuned for them specifically.

Hopefully it’s not the amp because that’s even more expensive. I can’t say if the amp is pushing the other speakers or if it was just those two. All of speakers still work but like I said idk if they’re being powered by the amp or not and the dealership acts like they don’t even know their own product. They can’t tell me and I can’t find anything online. I know I can’t be the first person this has happened to. Sorry this was so long winded and I appreciate any insight. Thanks.

Actually if you see those speakers they look like something from the 1960's. The only thing I know of that would cause this is an electrical short occurring which could be anywhere from the dash to into the door. There is perfect space under the back seat for a real subwoofer for real bass but it is difficult to access for install. Personally I am not impressed with the "Bose" corporation products. Lots of hype and advertising but very little actual technology.
