I have a 2016 2.4 ecotec Equinox and put a new timing chain ,phasers, guides, tensioner on both timing chain and balancer . Has little noise in park but a lot more noise in forward or reverse. Anyone seen this? the noise seems to be coming a little from front and rear of engine. Did not replace the fuel pump so say that needs to be replaced when doing a timing chain. I did not replace the balance chain and guides as they looked good. Only has 127,000 miles. Thanks Gregg

Use a long pry bar or screw driver to listen to the noise and source it's originated place. Should be able to get to outer bracket on fuel pump with tip of pry bar and other end to your ear.

Was this sound present prior to timing chain replacement?

High pressure fuel pump is notorious for making noise. GM suggests no replacement is necessary.
