Is there anyone that has discovered a way around needing a Tech2 for programming a remote? I have read online and it seems that it needs the dealer but the 2007 Nox's don't need it. What's the difference?

I programmed my bosses 2003 truck without it. I don't think you need it.

Well according to most information on the web, its needed. 2007+ models apparently have a information cluster of some sorts that allows the car to be put into programming mode by holding down the trip meter button.

IDK... maybe I'll just suck it up and spend the money.
