Who can tell me what it is?

My 2012 Chevrolet Equinox 2.4L has been emitting fuel vapors lately while driving. I used my smoke machine and discovered the smoke billowing from an area near a squarish, small plastic tank mounted inside the front passenger side fascia in front of the front passenger steer tire. It cannot be the charcoal canister because that is mounted toward the middle rear underneath the car. Anybody have an ida of what that tank is? I reckon the best step will be to put the front of the car up on ramps and start taking stuff apart around there.
