Rear lower control arm rusted mount issues,

Ok, I know that I now possess an incurable disease, I love these little suv's my current is the 2015 lt and, it now has the mounting boxes that mount the lower control arm bracket to have rusted out and I did pay to have some welding work done it seems OK for now, but has anyone tried to prevent this issue and what did they do to resolve this issue, I am currently going to purchase another 2nd gen rust free but want to treat areas that are affected by our northeastern rust issues, and has anyone used the eastwood products that's kinda the direction that I am headed in

You have some choices, like Woolwax or Krown. They work very well, but need annual application. I have personally used the rust converter from Eastwood on several projects. It works and the rust did not return. I recommend top coating it with some paint. It will add to the longevity.

Local body shop applies a product from a company I think called POR each time I get the car detailed like once every couple of years. Seems to prevent rust.
